Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer and actress who is well-known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared when she made her stage debut. After that, she performed in several Broadway performances before she was a star on national stage together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. In the same year, she recorded her first album, It's Time to Tina. Louise started her Hollywood career in the year 1958 when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. It was a huge hit and Louise was awarded her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. During this time she enrolled into Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her next memorable role came from 1964, when she was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to balance her acting career effectively between Broadway television and Hollywood playing somber characters contrasted to her perception of an attractive model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1, and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In the last few years, she's also become a popular director for well-known television shows like Supernatural or The 100. She was born in Essex on August 28, 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was three which is where she spent the rest of her childhood and adolescence. Following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and has lived there from then on.
