Coleman was born in the Lancashire town of Blackpool. She was a student at the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head of the school and received straight As on her A-levels. In discussing her Emmerdale character Coleman expressed regret over being unable to attend a college. Coleman was part of a group called In Yer Space at her school. The company performed Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. She won an award for her performance, and the play was also received favourably. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was performing at drama school. This happened in 2005. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. Coleman got a nomination in the category of Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. On 21 March 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat made it clear at a press conference that Coleman was set to play the Doctor's companion alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat chose her for the role because she worked the best alongside Smith and also spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her career has been in the entertainment industry since 1987. She is however, more recognized for her TV shows as opposed to films. Eva was in a number of characters on TV, however two stand out in particular: the Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas for CSI Miami. Actually, her role as Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children garnered the actress the two Daytime Emmy nominations. This allowed her to display her talent in music. Eva, in addition to acting, is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and business owner. She has been married three times and has a daughter with her second partner.
